Study Visa

The candidates who wish to pursue their higher studies (Diploma, Bachelors or Masters) in some designated institution of learning in Canada requiremeeting the eligibility criteria to apply for studying in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must get a letter of acceptance from the designated learning institution in Canada.
  • The candidate needs to provide a proof of financial support to ascertain sufficient funds for the first year of tuition besides the living expenses and the funds for returning to the home country.
  • He compulsorily needs to get a Certificate of Acceptance of Quebec (CAQ) if he desires to study in any location in Quebec.
  • He must be clear of any criminal charges.
  • He must maintain good health and must provide a medical test report.
  • He must be capable of convincing the Immigration officer that he would certainly leave the country upon the end of his study permit.

Additional documents that may be required

  • He must have a valid Passport. If he has included any of his family members’ names on the application form, their valid passport is also required.
  • Candidate's two passport sized photos and for the family members whose name is mentioned on the application form is required. There must be signatures of the candidate and his nominees besides their full name and date of birth written on backside of the photo.
  • A copy of the marriage certificate, if the candidate is married.
  • Additional documents for visa application as demanded by the officer.

Application Process

  • Select a program in which you wish to study in Canada.
  • Submit your application to apply to the selected Canadian designated learning institution.
  • The candidates who get their letter of acceptance need to submit an application for a study permit to the Government of Canada.
  • After a successful acceptance of the application, there are multiple options for working in Canada besides studying and applying for a Permanent Residence in Canada.

This program was earlier known as ‘Students Partners Program’ and was launched in 2018 that is a golden opportunity for the candidates to apply faster for Canadian Study permits. The objective of this program is to intensify the economic and cultural, social benefits for the country that the international students bring along with them. There is some liberty for the application process currently due to the prevailing Covid-19 situations but there are some eligibility criteria that certainly need to be met. The students who are currently living in one of these countries and must be eligible for the expedited visa process through SDS can apply for the study permit.

India, Pakistan, China, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Antigua and Barbuda, Morocco, Trinidad and Tobago, the Philippines, Senegal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In case, a candidate is not eligible for this visa, he needs to apply for a regular student permit application.

Eligibility criteria

  • Proficiency in English or French
  • Secured funds of $10,000 CAD available for accessing as soon as the candidate begins his course in Canada.

Additional documents required

  • Acceptance letter from your post secondary designated learning institution in Canada.
  • Proof of tuition fee payment for the first year of the course.
  • Guaranteed Investment Certificate ( GIC) of CAD $10,000.
  • Certificate of Acceptance of Quebec (CAQ) if the candidate wishes to study in Quebec.
  • Reports of medical tests (not mandatory but must be presented if demanded).
  • Copy of a police certificate (not mandatory but must be presented if demanded).
  • Transcript of candidate's recently attended secondary or post secondary school.
  • Minimum IELTS band 6 in every section- Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking.
  • French language test or CLB score of minimum 7 in each skill.
